Health & Wellbeing 2020
Cairns will be participating in the Health & Wellbeing Festival on 25th Jan 2020. It is a day to INSPIRE, EDUCATE and MOTIVATE you into kick starting 2020 and taking control of your own health and wellbeing. Come along and listen to the fantastic speakers, try out the exciting workshops and browse the stalls and marketplace.
It is being held on SATURDAY 25TH JANUARY at RGU, Sir Ian Wood Building, Garthdee Road, 9am – 5pm
Dr Zoe Williams
Medical Doctor/GP, Media Personality, Fitness and Physical Activity Expert, Motivational Speaker and Ex-Gladiator who will talk about the importance of being physically active.
Dr Alex Johnstone
Professor Alexandra Johnstone will talk about ‘Busting diet myths’ based on her research at the Rowett Institute. She will explore the myths and realities of obesity and weight loss and dietary approaches, with some time for audience discussion!
Louise McCullough is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at NHS Grampian and Albyn hospital. She is the first female to pass selection on Channel 4’s SAS: Who Dares Wins and will talk about mental resilience.
