Friends of Cairns Fundraising
The Italian Evening of 21 May 2011 run by the Friends of Cairns was such a success, that we would hope to have a similar function sometime in the future.
Everyone was praising the excellent Italian meal especially the Lasagne and the singing from Moira Docherty and John Carlo Bellotti was superb.
The Friends of Cairns followed that up with the annual meal for all staff, management committee and friends which was very well received.
On this occasion we said a reluctant goodbye to Margaret Mitchell who has worked so hard at Cairns as she goes off to join her husband in Australia
Great Coffee Morning!
The Great Coffee Morning was on 5th November in the Queen's Cross Church Halls. The morning was a great success with Home baking and Christmas stalls, Books and Bric-a-brac, CDs and Games, Jams, Jellies and Groceries.
We raised £2,200 at this event so we'd just like to say a big thank you to all those involved and those who attended. You have outdone yourselves again!
