Cancelling an appointment (inc lateness)
Q: What if I need to cancel my appointment?
A: This is a necessary measure to help avoid wasted appointments.
We allow each Client to ring and cancel 3 appointments. After this it is necessary for you to ring if you wish to continue with further sessions. If you do not attend 2 appointments and fail to contact us, we would expect you to contact the office if you wish to continue with further sessions.
If you are a fee-paying Client and cancel within 24hours of your appointment, we will keep £22.50 towards admin costs. The balance of £22.50 is forwarded to your next appointment.
If you provide 48 hours’ notice or more the full £45.00 is forwarded to your next appointment.
This enables us to use appointment times more efficiently.
Q: What if I am late for an appointment?
A: We would like wherever possible for you to contact us if you are running late for your appointment. However, without this we still keep your appointment open for 15 minutes, after which your appointment will no longer be available to you. Should you inform us prior to your appointment time that you will be later than 15 minutes we may be able to make arrangements so that you may still keep your appointment.
Please bare in mind that even if your appointment started late you will still end at your usual time, unless arranged with your counsellor.
